Abysmal Paradise
A downloadable game
About the Game
Abysmal Paradise is a survival horror game inspired by the rumoured lost media from the deep web/dark web know as Saki Sanobashi or Go for a punch.
What are the differences from the original media and the other recreations ?
The game takes some liberties to purpose a different story than the one from Saki Sanobashi/Go for a punch (I.e: Girls locked in a mysterious room who look like a huge bathroom with no door and they don't seem to remember why they are here) for avoiding being a 1:1 copy, a Corpse Party clone or even a game inspired by The Drifting Classroom like some recreations seems to take this kind of direction.
I am taking inspiration from old japanese horror movies, classic and modern survival horror games, including mangas, studying some stuff to find the perfect balance between ideas and concepts I can use for the scenario and the gameplay to make it more enjoyable and less cliché.
What about your own story ?
It involve a group of five friends named Ayumi (The protagonist), Rin (The deutagonist), Mayuri, Sakura and Sayuri.
The rest of the story is still incomplete due to the fact I've decided to ditch some stuff who were too inspired by Corpse Party. Honestly, it annoys me that some people made that comparaison without taking in account it was an earlier draft that I really disliked after I've made some progress...
I will redo the scenario even if I will preserve the five endings ideas who are already done.
Where is the demo ?
The game is still in development since two year and I am working alone on the project when I have some free time and if my health don't stop me, the demo will be ready when it's done.
Can I help you ?
